Many regulations are shared
Representatives of 11 sports delegations, including Vietnam, attended the first delegation leaders' meeting of the 33rd SEA Games held on August 20 and 21 in Bangkok (Thailand). The meeting also had the participation of representatives of the Southeast Asian Sports Council.
Information shared by the representative of Vietnam's sports attending the meeting said that host Thailand has announced detailed preparations including facilities and regulations for each sport. The information exchanged clearly helps all countries best prepare to register for the 33rd SEA Games.
The issue raised by the 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee is that the Organizing Committee will check the passport of the athlete with detailed requirements when each person enters Thailand. Athletes determined to have foreign elements will be subject to registration procedures control by the Organizing Committee, in which the passport replacement certificate will not be approved.
The Organizing Committee of the 33rd SEA Games affirmed that the examination of the athlete's qualifications will comply with regulations and the Sports Federation of the specific sport will control the expertise with advice from the World Sports Federation of that sport.
The 33rd SEA Games will kick off on December 9 in Thailand. The Southeast Asian Sports Council is scheduled to continue its third professional meeting on August 28. The final official contents of the 33rd SEA Games are included in this working program so that the Organizing Committee knows the number of registrations.
September 1 decides on the list of athletes for the 33rd SEA Games
The 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee announced that September 1 is the deadline for registering for the official list of coaches and athletes to attend the Games of 11 sports delegations. After this date, all registrations will not be approved.
The 33rd SEA Games Headers' Meeting worked with an open spirit. The Thai Organizing Committee will take the regulations according to the charter or the fact that (or not) checking the registration documents of athletes will be submitted to the sports federations for implementation. However, the date of September 1 is of great significance. 11 countries have identified specific forces to participate in the 33rd SEA Games, and there is no change.
At this time, Vietnamese athletes are training at centers in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Can Tho. National sports teams are required to ensure the health of key athletes. After September 1, Vietnamese sports will decide on the list of athletes receiving special nutritional allowances to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games. Vietnam Sports has built a framework of athletes participating in the 33rd SEA Games. However, this is a protective factor and should be kept confidential to avoid external impact.
Many sports in key groups such as boxing, athletics, gymnastics, badminton, shooting, weightlifting... have been preliminarily listed to participate in the 33rd SEA Games. Vietnam Sports aims to be in the top three groups to get the best results at the 33rd SEA Games, so the main force will participate in this arena. It is expected that the Vietnamese sports delegation will have about 1,000 members coming to Thailand to compete.
