On the afternoon of August 20, in Hanoi, Party Central Committee member, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh - Deputy Head of the Steering Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) chaired a meeting to review the progress of the exhibition "History and mission of the National Assembly of Vietnam" at the Exhibition of 80 years of National Achievements.
In a summary report on the progress of the exhibition "History and mission of the Vietnamese National Assembly", Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Manh Hung said that up to this point, the exhibition is basically guaranteed to progress and quality according to the requirements of the Steering Committee.
Regarding the expected next work, the Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office said that the National Assembly Office will conduct a strict inspection and supervision and coordinate with the design and construction unit to complete the arrangement of the exhibition booth of the Vietnamese National Assembly to ensure progress and quality.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh said that this is a national-scale, large-scale exhibition, included in the National Achievement Exhibition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) with the theme "80 years of the journey of Independence - freedom - Happiness".
Emphasizing this special significance, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly noted the requirement for the Exhibition to ensure synchronization, comprehensiveness and be worthy of the position, role and mission of the Vietnamese National Assembly in the cause of national construction, development and international integration.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that the Exhibition "History and mission of the National Assembly of Vietnam" should highlight and demonstrate the close relationship between the National Assembly and the People; more emphatically demonstrate the highlights and outstanding results of the National Assembly in performing the three functions of constitution-legislation, supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country in the 80 years of national construction and development.
To ensure the completion of the entire Exhibition booth, timely service of the Opening Ceremony and welcoming people to visit, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that the National Assembly Office focus highly, continue reviewing the contents, images, and short films for display in the Exhibition, ensuring accuracy, suitability, and representation.
Review and speed up the installation of technology equipment for display at the Exhibition; at the same time, check and test the equipment, ensure stability and avoid incidents during the exhibition at the Exhibition. The National Assembly Office needs to coordinate with the design unit to assign technical staff to handle arising incidents (if any).
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly also requested that agencies and units promote a sense of responsibility, strengthen coordination, proactively resolve problems arising or report to the National Assembly leaders for consideration and decision, without delay, to ensure the exhibition space of the Exhibition "History and mission of the Vietnamese National Assembly" is solemn, modern and meaningful, creating an impression in the hearts of the people and international friends.
