Mac Hong Quan's career
Mac Hong Quan was born in 1992, his parents are Vietnamese. In 2000, he moved with his family to the Czech Republic to live and study.
The midfielder from Hai Duong's first team was Tachov - playing in the Czech Republic's 4th division. At the age of 15, Mac Hong Quan became one of the most highly regarded young players in the region, attracting the attention of many big clubs.
After determining his direction, he decided to join the Sparta Prague training center. Therefore, he said goodbye to Tachov FC and moved to the capital city of Prague with his family. Mac Hong Quan quickly asserted his position in the youth team and was promoted to play in the Sparta Praha B team in the 2nd division in 2011.
During the time of reviewing for the high school graduation exam, coach Mai Duc Chung discovered Mac Hong Quan. From then on, the player born in 1992 had a new turning point in his career when he joined Vietnamese football.
Mac Hong Quan joined Than Quang Ninh at the beginning of the 2015 V.League season. In the same year, he was called up to the Vietnam U23 team to participate in the 28th SEA Games.
However, in this tournament, Mac Hong Quan received a lot of criticism for missing many good opportunities and U23 Vietnam only won the bronze medal.
In difficult times, the 33-year-old midfielder did not give up and gradually returned to shine in the Than Quang Ninh shirt. During his years with the team, he was a pillar helping Than Quang Ninh win a number of achievements such as winning the 2016 National Cup, the 2016 Super Cup, and third place in the 2019 V.League.
In the 2020 season, Mac Hong Quan moved to Hai Phong club under a loan contract. In August 2021, Than Quang Ninh dissolved, the player born in 1992 joined Binh Dinh, continuing to be a pillar helping the team achieve good results through each season.
Most recently, in V.League 2023-2024, the Vietnamese-American midfielder played 19 matches and scored 2 goals.
Besides being a player, Mac Hong Quan is also preparing for the future. In 2024, he attended the C/AFC/VFF certified football coach training course held in Thanh Hoa.
Happy marriage
After many emotional turmoils, Mac Hong Quan now has a happy married life with model Ky Han. The two have been together for more than 8 years, accompanying each other through difficult times.
Mac Hong Quan and Ky Han got married in 2016. That same year, the 29-year-old model gave birth to her first child - baby Cu Toi. By the end of 2020, the couple welcomed their second son - baby Dua Hau.
In October 2021, Mac Hong Quan and his wife held a wedding ceremony in the Czech Republic.
Due to the nature of his work, the Vietnamese-American player is often away from home. When Ky Han was pregnant with her second child, her husband was away competing, so she had to go to the Czech Republic to rest and be taken care of by her in-laws.
After that, Mac Hong Quan took a long leave to accompany his wife during labor. He tried to arrange time to take his family out, travel, and pay attention to his wife and children. When there were arguments or anger, the couple quickly resolved them, made up, and kept the peace in the house.
Mac Hong Quan does not hesitate to post pictures of his wife and children on social media, showing his love for his family. He also gave Ky Han a car worth 1.5 billion VND.
Meanwhile, Ky Han, although busy with taking care of her children and selling goods, still takes the time to go to the field to cheer on her husband in many football matches.
When they first got married, Mac Hong Quan and his wife lived in a luxury apartment in Hanoi. In 2020, the couple bought a semi-detached villa worth more than ten billion VND. In mid-2022, Mac Hong Quan moved to another adjacent villa.
