Hot" tickets before kick-off
Right from the time the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced the ticket issuance plan, the need to watch the team live was clearly shown. Initially, all tickets for the two group stage matches against Singapore (July 31) and Cambodia (August 7) were sold exclusively through an online application from July 17 to the end of July 25, not deployed for sale at counters as before.
However, the number of people registering to buy exceeded expectations, forcing VFF to adjust the issuance plan. In addition to the online channel, the organizers decided to open more direct ticket sales points from July 28 to create conditions for fans to access more conveniently. Tickets are issued with 4 denominations of 200,000 VND, 300,000 VND, 400,000 VND and 500,000 VND.
In which, all highest-class tickets for the match against Singapore were quickly sold out on the online channel. This is a signal that the attractiveness of the Vietnamese team is still maintained at a high level even though the tournament has just begun.
Besides the rapid ticket sales, the ticket market also soon became bustling. In the area around the VFF headquarters and some points around My Dinh Stadium, people have appeared buying and reselling tickets for the match between Vietnam and Singapore. The phenomenon of ticket scalpers is not new every time the team plays at home, but once again shows the heat of the ASEAN Cup 2026.
The biggest motivation still comes from the performance of coach Kim Sang-sik's team. The Vietnamese national team has had a series of positive results in the past time since the ASEAN Cup 2024.
Currently, the team also owns many quality players such as: Nguyen Xuan Son, Do Hoang Hen, Nguyen Tai Loc, Nguyen Dinh Bac or Quang Hai, Hoang Duc. Convincing performances before the tournament help fans have more hope for the journey to defend the championship, thereby creating a great attraction for matches at My Dinh Stadium.
My Dinh Stadium is ready for the football festival
In parallel with ticket issuance, My Dinh National Stadium is also heavily invested to prepare for the return of the team. This will be the first time this stadium has organized an official match of the Vietnamese team since the end of 2024.
In the past year, My Dinh Stadium has been renovated with a total cost of about 8 billion VND. The most important item is to completely replace the grass surface. The construction unit has excavated many old foundation layers, renovated the drainage system, supplemented the foundation soil layer and replanted all grass to meet international competition standards. Along with that, the automatic irrigation system has been upgraded, the goal frame has been maintained, and the stands and many areas serving the audience have also been cleaned and renovated synchronously.
Up to now, the field has been covered in green, meeting professional requirements to serve the two matches of the Vietnamese national team in the ASEAN Cup 2026 group stage. Improved playing conditions not only help players better develop their professional ability but also bring positive experiences to fans when returning to the national stadium.
ASEAN Cup is always a tournament that receives special attention from Vietnamese audiences. After more than 2 years of waiting, the team's return to My Dinh in a new look of the stadium, along with the exciting atmosphere from ticket sales and the expectations for coach Kim Sang-sik's team, promises to turn the two matches with Singapore and Cambodia into a true football festival.
