On November 2, the 2024 For Young Talents - Tien Phong Golf Championship 2024 took place at the field in Dong Mo (Hanoi), witnessing exciting competitions.
At the opening ceremony, journalist Phung Cong Suong - Head of the tournament's organizing committee - said: "This year, all stages of the organization, from the grass field, operations staff, support staff to the caddie team... have been prepared by the organizing committee as carefully and thoroughly as possible, in order to bring an unforgettable experience to the 160 participating golfers."
During the competition day, the favorable weather, warm sunshine and light wind created ideal conditions for golfers to execute perfect shots, from powerful drives to precise putts and chips. At the end of the exciting competition day, 12-year-old female golfer Nguyen Bao Chau surprised everyone when she surpassed many other outstanding seniors to win the championship with a total score of (-1).
This is the first time in history that the Vietnam Young Talent Golf Tournament has welcomed a female champion. Bao Chau's result (-1) is also the only negative score among 160 golfers competing in the tournament.
