On October 15, in Hanoi, the press conference of Tien Phong Golf Championship - For young Vietnamese talents 2024 took place.
This is the 8th consecutive season that BRG Group has collaborated with Tien Phong newspaper to organize a charity tournament to raise funds for the activities of the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phung Cong Suong - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong newspaper, Head of the tournament organization - said: "It can be said that, besides the golf tournament system at both amateur and professional levels organized annually by the Department of Sports and Physical Training, Vietnam Golf Association, the golf tournament for young Vietnamese talents is gradually integrating into the flow of Vietnamese golf, positioning itself to become one of the top amateur golf tournaments, a place for the participation and fierce competition of Vietnam's top golfers.
Through 7 seasons of organization, Tien Phong Golf Championship has received positive feedback from experts, golfers and fans nationwide about its organization, professional quality and humane values for the community.

The tournament has named 6 different champions, including many young golfers such as Nguyen Anh Minh (SEA Games 32 bronze medalist), Nguyen Nhat Long (2023 national champion), Nguyen Duc Son (2024 national champion)...
In the 8th season in 2024, Tien Phong Golf Championship brings together about 160 golfers to compete in one day (November 2) on the Kings Course at BRG Kings' Island Golf Resort (Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi).
Kings Course is the first golf course project designed by Jack Nicklaus II (the eldest son of golf legend Jack Nicklaus) in Vietnam. In particular, hole 19 has a teeing point located on top of a 28m high waterfall. This is the golf hole used by the organizers for the Lucky Challenge for golfers participating in the tournament with attractive prizes.

In order to enhance the professional quality, high professionalism as well as enhance the significance of the tournament in supporting the development of young Vietnamese talents, Tien Phong Golf Championship organizes a separate "Young Talent" tournament for the top male and female golfers in Vietnam under 18 years old to compete.
Young golfers who have won the Tien Phong Golf Championship, won the national golf tournament and topped their age groups at the VGA Junior Tour stages will have their entry fees covered. In addition, golfers under 18 years old who are not in the above categories will also receive 60% of their entry fees from the organizers.

At the press conference to announce the awards, the Organizing Committee awarded 5 scholarships, each worth 10 million VND, to students in difficult circumstances after natural disasters and floods.
