Pitchamon Opatniputh is being temporarily suspended at ASIAD 20 after a doping sample showed adverse analysis results with furosemide, a substance banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
Pitchamon's sample was taken during a test on September 17. After that, the International Sports Inspection Agency (ITA) announced the incident on September 21 and said the suspension decision took effect immediately.
During this time, Pitchamon is not allowed to compete, train, coach or participate in activities at ASIAD 20.
This is not the final conclusion on the case. Pitchamon has the right to request a B sample analysis and appeal the decision to the Anti-Doping Department of the Arbitration Tribunal.
