Mechanical player Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu won the 3-cushion carom championship at the HBSF Tour 1 billiards tournament, after defeating his younger brother Nguyen Tran Thanh Tao.

Previously in the semi-finals, Thanh Tu won 50-33 against Bao Phuong Vinh after 20 turns, while Thanh Tao won a dramatic victory 50-48 against Tran Quyet Chien after 35 turns.

In the final match on the evening of March 25, with accurate shots, including a series of 8 points, Thanh Tao quickly took the lead 23-9. Thanh Tu chased fiercely, gradually shortening the gap before leveling the score at 24-24. However, Thanh Tao was still the one with the advantage when leading 26-24 after the first half.

After exciting score chases in the second half, Thanh Tao took the lead 49-37. However, even though they were only 1 point away from the championship, Thanh Tao had consecutive inaccurate kicks.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Thanh Tu gradually shortened the gap before launching a 7-point line to win 50-49 after 37 turns. A very special detail when Thanh Tu just held a wedding 2 days ago.

With the championship, Thanh Tu received the trophy and 50 million VND in prize money. Nguyen Tran Thanh Tao received 20 million VND for the runner-up position. The two third-place players, Tran Quyet Chien and Bao Phuong Vinh, received 10 million VND. The top 5-8 players received 5 million VND and the 9-16 players received 2 million VND.

In addition, the Best Game award went to Nguyen Tran Thanh Tao, while Bao Phuong Vinh received the "Best Series" award, each award received 5 million VND.

In the final match of the women's 3-cushion event, Nguyen Hoang Yen Nhi won the championship when she overwhelmed 30-11 after 29 turns against Nguyen Duc Yen Sinh, including 2 series of 8 points and 9 points.

With the championship, Nguyen Hoang Yen Nhi received 10 million VND. Runner-up Nguyen Duc Yen Sinh received 5 million VND. Nguyen Le Lien Quynh and Luong Thi Thom, both in the Third Division, received 2 million VND.

In addition, the Best Game award went to Nguyen Duc Yen Sinh and Luong Thi Thom, who received the Outstanding Series award with a series of 12 points, each worth 1 million VND. Luong Thi Thom also received an additional 1 million VND in bonuses from sponsor The Gioi Bida.

In the 9-a-side men's pool event of the final match, there will be a competition between Ngo Hong Thang and Vo Van Tien. Previously, in the semi-final, Hong Thang won 10-7 against Le Van Quyen, Vo Van Tien defeated Ho Minh Hanh with a score of 10-6. Entering the final match, the two players created an attractive score chase. With the score at 8-8, Hong Thang bravely had 3 consecutive wins to win 11.8 overall.

With the championship, Ngo Hong Thang received 50 million VND in the same trophy, runner-up Vo Van Tien received 20 million VND, two third-place players Le Van Quyen and Ho Minh Hanh received 10 million VND, the top 8 players received 3 million VND and the 9-16 players received 1 million VND.

In the women's 9-a-side pool event, Duong Yen Vi won the championship when she won 7-4 against Huynh Thi Ngoc Huyen. This championship helped Duong Yen Vi receive 10 million VND in the same trophy, second-place player Huynh Thi Ngoc Huyen received 5 million VND, two third-place players Nguyen Bich Tram and Tran Tu Tran received 2 million VND and the top 8 players received 1 million VND.

Thus, after 7 days of exciting competition, HBSF Tour 1 MIN Table Cup 2025 has ended successfully. HBSF Tour 2 is scheduled to take place from July 14 to 20.

HBSF Tour is a billiards tournament system organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards & Snooker Federation (abbreviated as HBSF). This is a series of large-scale, professional tournaments considered the "World Cup of Vietnamese billiards", gathering many strong domestic players to compete.

HBSF Tour 2025 starts with HBSF Tour 1 in 2025, taking place from March 19 to 25, at the Sports Service Center (215C Ly Thuong Kiet, Ward 15, District 11) with a total prize value of more than 300 million VND.
