Good news came to the Vietnamese gymnastics team on the evening of May 23rd in Uzbekistan, where they are competing in the 2026 Challenge World Cup, when we already had the gold medal of player Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu.
In the final of the women's singles chess dance, Quynh Nhu performed with the best technique for the judges to score high, maintaining the No. 1 position.
Quynh Nhu's gold medal is the first championship of the Vietnamese gymnastics team at the 2026 Challenge World Cup in Uzbekistan this year. Currently, Quynh Nhu is the No. 1 female athlete in Vietnam in the backstroke event.
In addition to the above achievement, the Vietnamese gymnastics team also won a silver medal in the men's singles wreath event.
The result belonged to player Nguyen Van Khanh Phong. Last year, Khanh Phong won a silver medal in the above event at the 2025 Challenge World Cup in Bulgaria.
This year's tournament will last until May 24. The Vietnamese gymnastics team aims to win a medal in Uzbekistan this year. We have 5 athletes competing in this year's tournament including Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu, Nguyen Van Khanh Phong, Dang Ngoc Xuan Thien, Nguyen Phuoc Hai and Vu Tien Anh.
After the 2026 World Challenge Cup in Uzbekistan, the players will return home to prepare professionally to aim to participate in the 2026 Asian Championship.
