At this tournament, the Vietnamese gymnastics team registered 5 athletes including Nguyen Van Khanh Phong, Dang Ngoc Xuan Thien, Nguyen Phuoc Hai, Vu Tien Anh (male) and Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu (female).
The 2026 Challenge World Cup will be held in Tashkent city (Uzbekistan) from May 21st to May 24th. Athletes will compete in their individual events.
In which, the Vietnamese gymnastics team expects 3 players Nguyen Van Khanh Phong, Dang Ngoc Xuan Thien and Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu to be able to win medals.
The last time the Vietnamese gymnastics team competed in an international tournament was SEA Games 33 in December 2025 in Thailand.
After a period of training, the 2026 World Challenge Cup is the first foreign competition program of Vietnamese players.
At the 2025 Challenge World Cup held in Bulgaria, athlete Dang Ngoc Xuan Thien won a gold medal in the ring horse event, while athlete Nguyen Van Khanh Phong won a silver medal in the singles rings event.
On May 19, members of the Vietnamese gymnastics team arrived in Uzbekistan. The coaching staff will prepare professionally for the athletes before officially competing.
In this participation, coaches Truong Minh Sang, Phan Thi Ha Thanh, Vo Dinh Vinh will direct the players to compete.
