Following the success of the football festival for the first time held in Vietnam in 2024, on June 6, the Organizing Committee informed about the season 2 of the festival with the name of the Vietnam - UK football festival, the theme of "Legendary Red". The festival will take place from 26 to 29.6, in Da Nang City.
This is an event to promote tourism and sports connectivity between the two countries, especially creating a premise for the development of international sports tourism in the future of Da Nang city.
This year's festival will bring to Vietnam the golden generation players of famous Manchester United football club (MU) including: Michael Owen, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Teddy Sheringham, Wes Brown and many other teammates.
MU players will participate in activities to promote the image of the coastal city of Da Nang and Vietnam to the world.
This year's festival will include the following activities: Manchester United fans' cultural and sports festival, a friendly football match between Vietnamese stars and Manchester Reds combined with a vibrant music program; pickleball exchange and volunteer activities at V- Village Da Nang along with many attractive tourism and sports promotion programs.
The highlight of the festival will be the friendly football match between the Vietnamese star team and Manchester Reds at Hoa Xuan Stadium with a capacity of 17,000 seats.
In parallel with the exchange and sports activities of legendary MU players; with the desire to encourage the development and training of the country's youth football; the organizing committee also organized the GrassLife Da Nang International Youth Football Tournament with the participation of more than 30 youth teams from U10-U16.
