Pickball, like every other sport, has specific regulations and competition rules. Lao Dong introduces sports fans to the Rules and Regulations of pickleball .
Stadium
The pickleball court has the same size as the badminton court, 13.41m long and 6.1m wide. The yard is divided into 2 symmetrical parts, each part is 6.7m long and 3.05m wide.
Each side of the court is divided into 2 boxes like in badminton (which in Vietnam is called "stables") 4.57m long, 3.05m wide, separated by a line called the center line.
In front of each side of the field there is an area called "non-volley zone/kitchen" - Vietnam often calls it "the sea". This is a regulated area where the ball cannot be touched in the air. From the net to the boundary line of this area is 2.13m.
Net
The turn has a height of 91.5cm at both ends and 0.86m in the middle. The grid posts must have a distance of 6.7m from the inside of one post to the inside of the other location.
Competition racket
Rackets used for pickleball are half as short as tennis rackets and larger than table tennis rackets. USAP and IPF standards state that the total length and width of the racket must not exceed 0.61m; Length must not exceed 0.43m.
There are no requirements for racket thickness or weight, which are typically constructed from materials such as fiberglass or carbon fiber. The surface of the racket must be smooth.
Competition ball
The Wiffle ball was the first ball used when this game was born. USA Pickleball (USAP) has since adopted specific ball standards specific to pickleball. The ball must be made of durable molded material with a smooth surface and must have 26 to 40 evenly spaced circular holes.
The ball must weigh from 22.1g to 26.5g, diameter from 73mm to 75mm. Tournaments approved by USAP and IPF must select from the list of pre-approved balls available on the USAP and IPF websites.
Balls with smaller holes are often used for outdoor play to minimize the impact of wind, but any approved ball can be used for indoor or outdoor play.
Skin
There are no specific clothing regulations when playing pickleball , however, players should choose to ensure comfort and convenience for sports activities.
