The tournament takes place from May 7 to 10 at Ho Xuan Huong Gymnasium (No. 2 Ho Xuan Huong Street, Xuan Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
The tournament has 4 events including: Men's 3-string carom (taking place from May 7-8), U22 3-string carom, women's 3-string carom and 1-string carom (taking place from May 9-10). In total, 66 top Asian players will participate in the competition. The total prize value of the tournament is nearly 800 million VND.
On the afternoon of May 6, the Organizing Committee of the 14th Asian Carom Billiards Championship 2026 held the official draw ceremony for the group stage.
The focus of attention in the draw was on the men's 3-bar carom event. Accordingly, Tran Quyet Chien (13th in the world) is in Group C with one of the most veteran players in Korea, Choi Wan Young (48th in the world). The remaining two names in this group are Takahashi Tomotaka (Japan) and Kim Jung Deok (Korea).
Notably, the defending champion and world No. 1 player Cho Myung Woo will be in Group A. Fans are waiting for the rematch between Quyết Chiến and Cho Myung Woo in the final. Previously in 2019, Quyết Chiến reversed the score against Myung Woo to win the Asian championship.
The 3-bar carom event also has the participation of a series of masters such as Heo Jung Han, Kim Haeng Jik, Bao Phuong Vinh, Tran Thanh Luc... promising to create exciting competitions.

In the women's 3-bar carom event, the defending champion Heo Chae Won (Korea) will be in Group A with Phung Kien Tuong, Fukao Noriko (Japan) and Yeom Hee Ju (Korea). Meanwhile, world No. 2 female player Kim Ha Eun will be in Group D with Le Thi Ngoc Hue.
In the youth 3-band carom event (U22), two bright talents of Vietnam, Nguyen Minh Tri and Huynh Ngoc Khac Huy, are in the same group with defending champion Kim Do Hyun (Korea) and Jeong Min Gyo (Korea). Meanwhile, in the 1-band carom event (competed in a knockout format), defending champion Ho Hoang Hung meets Jang Sung Won (Korea). Pham Duy Thanh competes with Park Su Yeong or Nguyen Cao Nhan Minh Quan against Takahashi Tomotaka... promising to bring exciting battles.
