Pre-match information
The Vietnamese men's volleyball team will enter the second match of stage 1 of SEA V.League 2026 with a confrontation with Myanmar at 1:00 PM today (July 17).
After the defeat on the opening day, coach Federico Rampazzo's team set a goal to win first to improve their position in the rankings as well as create an advantage in the race to the semi-finals.
In fact, Ngoc Thuan and his teammates had a not bad performance against the Thai opponent when they won 1 set. At one point, the team led by many points with smooth coordination situations but lost unfortunately. Step one is still a weakness that needs to be improved.
Compared to Myanmar, the Vietnamese team is rated higher thanks to possessing an experienced force with many faces who have played for many years in the national team such as Ngoc Thuan, Van Duy, Duy Tuyen, Van Tien...
However, Myanmar is still an opponent that cannot be underestimated when they always play with determination and often cause many difficulties for teams in the region with a physically strong playing style.
A victory against Myanmar not only helps the Vietnamese team get 3 more points but also creates a morale boost before entering more difficult challenges in the next rounds.
