The Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Ho Chi Minh City Police said that due to the increasing travel demand of people on weekends, while Dong Nai bridge is being repaired and upgraded, causing the bridge deck to narrow to 2 lanes and Tan Van intersection is under construction, the traffic situation on National Highway 1 in the direction from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai is facing many difficulties.
According to records, the traffic volume on National Highway 1 in the direction from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai is increasing. To reduce congestion, the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police guides people to circulate according to the following alternative routes:
Route 1: Tram 2 overpass - Do Muoi - National Highway 1K - Hoa An Bridge.
Route 2: High-Tech Park - Vo Chi Cong - Cat Lai ferry.
On the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, traffic volume is also increasing, especially in the branch connecting from Ring Road 2 - Phu Huu to the expressway, causing vehicles to move slowly in the direction from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai. People can choose the following routes to travel:
Route 1: Saigon River tunnel - Mai Chi Tho - to Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway.
Route 2: Phu My Bridge - Vo Chi Cong - go down to My Thuy roundabout - turn left into Dong Van Cong - turn right to Mai Chi Tho - go up to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway.
Route 3: Phu My bridge - Vo Chi Cong - has missed the My Thuy overpass - turn around at Ba Cua bridge or road No. 5 - return to My Thuy roundabout - turn right into Dong Van Cong - turn right to Mai Chi Tho - go to Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that people prioritize taking the highway from An Phu intersection instead of the Ring Road 2 - Phu Huu area to reduce traffic pressure.
The Traffic Police Department also recommends that people who plan to travel to Dong Nai should choose the time frame after 4 pm to enter the expressway, and at the same time comply with the instructions of functional forces and the traffic signal system on the road.
According to the Traffic Police Department, functional forces will continue to monitor the actual situation to organize regulation, traffic diversion, ensure traffic order and safety and support people to travel safely and conveniently.
