On the evening of June 14, the Vietnam women's volleyball team won convincingly 3-0 against the Philippines in the final to win the AVC Nations Cup 2025. This is also the third consecutive time coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team have been crowned at the Asian playground.
Speaking after the impressive achievements of the home team, the captain of the Vietnam team shared: "After the semi-final match, I was somewhat out of breath, today the Vietnam women's team did well and this made me very satisfied. Before the tournament started, the athletes were also under a lot of pressure. This victory is a success for the collective".

Regarding the professional factor, Mr. Kiet said: "After the AVC Nations Cup, we will participate in many tournaments with increasing difficulty, by August we will participate in the world tournament and at the end of the year will be the 33rd SEA Games. The whole team cannot afford to rest on their laurels. The team still has work to do, in fact the players still have a lot of potential to exploit. If the members are united, the competition results will be better".
The coach born in 1976 also praised 2 individuals of the Vietnam women's volleyball team: "This is the first tournament for Bich Thuy and Nguyen Uyen to return to compete for the national team after 2 years of absence. Of course, there are still some things that are not good, but this is a premise for them to be more confident and try harder."
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet also said that tomorrow (June 15), the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will return to Quang Ninh to practice preparing for the VTV Cup 2025. Athletes need to recover their health and spirit to enter new goals.
"Regarding the squad for the VTV Cup 2025, there will be changes from 2-3 other athletes," Mr. Kiet emphasized.
