In the first semi-final, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team won convincingly 3-1 against the defending runner-up Kazakhstan.
Against the defending runner-up, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet was very cautious, launching a strong lineup with two main attackers, Thanh Thuy and Bich Tuyen. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team has complied with the requirements from the coaching staff.
Although they were down on their spirit in set 2, the Vietnamese girls regained their spirit, played cohesively and won two consecutive sets after that to defeat their opponents, thereby winning tickets to the final match.

On the other side, the Philippines had an exhausted match against Taiwan (China). The Southeast Asian representative created a better game and won the opponent in the first two sets. It seemed that Solomon and his teammates easily closed the semi-final with a big win, but the Taiwanese girls (China) regained their spirit and played brilliantly to equalize 2-2.
However, in the decisive set, the Philippines was still the team with more courage to win. In the end, the Philippines beat Taiwan (China) with a score of 3-2 to face the Vietnam women's volleyball team in the final.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet shared: "In general, the athletes have not basically met the requirements from the coaching staff, and are still lacking in pieces. If we meet a stronger opponent but have an unstable mentality, we cannot play.
The team learned from the victory over Kazakhstan, focusing on playing well in the final. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team will have to play their best."
Meanwhile, outstanding star on the Philippines side, Bella Belen said: "All Vietnamese players have outstanding strengths and skills. They defended and supported the ball very well. They kept their position throughout the match. That means first passes are always accurate and don't have to move much. That is why the final match will be very challenging for us".

The confrontation between Vietnam and the Philippines promises to be exciting, because both teams are representatives of the Philippines. This is also considered a match for the two teams to evaluate each other's strength before the 33rd SEA Games (taking place in December 2025 in Thailand).
If they win the final, the Vietnamese team will not only win the tournament for the third consecutive time but also continue to have the opportunity to be promoted on the rankings of the World Volleyball Federation.
The final match between the Vietnamese women's volleyball team and the Philippines will take place at 8:00 p.m. on June 14.
