According to Lao Dong's investigation, the professional training plan for the remaining time of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team preparing for ASIAD 20 will take place at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports.
The players of head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet will not go abroad for training.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team still has 2 international tournaments before participating in ASIAD 20, which are the 2nd leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026 Tournament in Thailand (from August 7 to August 9) and the Asian Championship in China (from August 21 to August 30).
After the end of stage 2 of the SEA V.Cup 2026, 14 players participating in this round will return to training at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports with their teammates.
It is expected that coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet will identify 14 faces to participate in the 2026 Asian Championship during training right after stage 2 of the 2026 SEA V.Cup.
The goal of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is to win 4th place at ASIAD 20. However, this is not a small challenge.
Full-time training at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports will help coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet further improve professional issues for players before coming to Japan.
The women's indoor volleyball event of ASIAD 20 will be held from September 16 to September 22.
Thus, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team and continental teams only have 1 month left to prepare professionally to be ready to participate in ASIAD 20.
At ASIAD 19 held in 2023, the 4 leading teams overall in women's indoor volleyball were China, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam.
