10 athletes of the Vietnam Athletics Team in the men's 400m, average length, high jump event have just finished a 2-week training course in Nam Ninh city (China). The players returned to Vietnam last weekend.
From November 17, the above players returned to the training ground as usual.
Thus, the Vietnam Athletics Team will practice full-time domestically to prepare for the sprint phase in the last 20 days before going to Thailand to compete in the 33rd SEA Games. The content groups were assigned to train in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Bac Ninh.
Athletics is the national team that received the target of winning 12 gold medals at the 33rd SEA Games. However, the coaching staff still keep the professional indicators and training tactics confidential to register suitable content for key players.
Previously, the women's 4x400m relay team training in France also completed the professional development program. This group is practicing closely at the National High-level Athletes' Training Center (Hanoi).
The Vietnamese athletics team won 12 gold medals in the competition at the 32nd SEA Games in 2023 in Cambodia.
The results achieved in the men's 3,000m hurdles (athlete Nguyen Trung Cuong); women's 800m (Nguyen Thi Thu Ha), 1,500m, 5,000m, 10,000m, 3,000m hurdles (Nguyen Thi Oanh), 100m hurdles (Huynh Thi My Tien), 400m hurdles (Nguyen Thi Huyen), women's 4x400m hurdles, 20km walking (Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuc), 7 coordinate events (Nguyen Thi Linh Na); mixed 4x400m hurdles.
The requirement of the Vietnam Athletics Team's Coaching Board is that the athletes strive to protect the gold medal achievements in each of the above events at the 33rd SEA Games.
