Right on the training day, the players took the field to practice with excitement and high concentration. According to the plan, the Vietnamese women's team will be stationed in Hanoi for more than three weeks before heading to China for training.


In the domestic preparation phase, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team are expected to have two friendly matches with the Uzbekistan women's team, taking place on January 26 and 29 in Hanoi. These are considered important tests to assess the force, review the playing style before the team goes to China for training in early February to improve fitness and improve tactics. After the foreign training camp, the Vietnamese women's team will return home for a short Tet holiday and then continue to gather.
One of the notable highlights of this training camp is the return of coach Mai Duc Chung as captain. Sharing before the training session, the veteran coach said that he decided to reappear after his health has stabilized and he still has many aspirations to contribute to the team. The consistent goal emphasized by Mr. Chung is to improve fitness, maintain a pressing playing style, control the ball in short passes suitable for the physique of Vietnamese players, and improve finishing efficiency.

Regarding personnel, the Vietnamese women's team summoned 28 players, most of whom are faces who have fought at SEA Games 33, and also added a number of young players with high potential. The combination of experience and youth continues to be part of the rejuvenation roadmap, creating depth of force for the team in both the present and the future.
Coach Mai Duc Chung affirmed that the door of the national team is always wide open for young players, especially outstanding faces competing at the National U19 Women's Championship, as long as they meet professional requirements and dedication spirit.

At the final round of the 2026 Asian Women's Football Championship, the Vietnamese women's team aims to go as deep as possible, aiming to affirm their position and maintain a stable presence in the continent's leading playground.
