On the evening of November 18, the Thai team won a big win against Sri Lanka 4-0 in Group D of the 2027 Asian Cup final qualifiers.

From the first minutes, the "War Elephants" showed great determination. Just 7 minutes after the match started, the Thai team opened the score in a favorable way. Midfielder Thanawat Suengchitthawon soon took the lead with a technical long-range shot, stabilizing the team's mentality. The first half ended with a fragile 1-0 advantage despite both teams creating many opportunities.

Entering the second half, tactical adjustments from coach Anthony Hudson were immediately effective. The Thai team's attack is becoming much sharper. In the 65th minute, striker Jude Soonsup-Bell came on as a substitute and shined with a header to increase the score to 2-0. Not long after, in the 77th minute, Pansa Hemviboon defender continued to score from an aerial situation, bringing the score to 3-0.

In the extra minutes of the second half, Jude Soonsup-Bell himself once again made his mark with a solid finish, sealing a 4-0 victory for the Thai team and completing his only double.

This victory helped the Thai team temporarily top Group D with 12 points after 5 matches, creating a big advantage in the race for tickets to the 2027 Asian Cup finals.
