On the morning of July 26, the Vietnamese national team returned to training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center to prepare for the match against Singapore at My Dinh Stadium on July 31, belonging to the second match of Group A of the ASEAN Cup 2026.

After the 7-0 victory over Timor-Leste in the opening match and the journey from Thailand to Hanoi, coach Kim Sang-sik divided the team into two groups to ensure the fitness of the players.
The starting group in the victory over Timor-Leste mainly performed recovery exercises under the guidance of the coaching staff and medical department. Meanwhile, the remaining players were strengthened in tactical training and maintained exercise intensity.
The highlight in the training session was the return of midfielder Nguyen Tai Loc. After a period of treatment for a calf muscle strain injury, this player has returned to normal training with his teammates.
Previously, to ensure safety, the coaching staff decided not to register Nguyen Tai Loc in the match against Timor-Leste. This midfielder's timely recovery helps coach Kim Sang-sik have more options in midfield before the confrontation with Singapore.

The big victory on the opening day helps the Vietnamese team have a favorable start at ASEAN Cup 2026. The whole team is maintaining a high spirit and focusing to the maximum for the upcoming match.
Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will have four days of preparation before welcoming Singapore at My Dinh Stadium. The goal of the Vietnamese team is to win all 3 points to consolidate their position in Group A, thereby creating an advantage in the semi-final spot competition.
