On the afternoon of July 7, the Vietnamese national team entered the next training session in the training trip in Korea to improve professional skills before the practice match with Yongin FC (K.League 2), taking place on July 8.
Before the training session, the coaching staff held a professional meeting to analyze video footage of the first training match with Siheung FC. Coach Kim Sang-sik and his colleagues assessed the positive points, and pointed out the limitations that need to be overcome to improve the quality of play in the next match.
On the training ground, the team spent more than an hour practicing attacking coordination exercises and switching states. The intensity of training continues to be maintained at a high level. According to data from the GPS movement monitoring system, the fitness and mobility of the players have all improved positively after nearly a week of training in Korea.
Before the training session, midfielder Do Hoang Hen shared that he is gradually integrating into the national team environment and feels proud to participate in the journey to prepare for the ASEAN Cup 2026.
I am very happy to be here with the Vietnamese team. This is a very important tournament and the whole team is striving to practice every day to have the best preparation," Hoang Hen said.
The midfielder born in 1994 also appreciates the solidarity in the team. According to him, although the players come from many different clubs, they always support each other, and at the same time receive close guidance from the coaching staff to jointly aim for the goal of defending the Southeast Asian championship.
Hoang Hen said that playing with many national team players in the V.League helped him quickly integrate into the national team. This player also affirmed that his biggest goal is to contribute to the overall success and conquer the ASEAN Cup 2026 championship with the Vietnamese national team.
According to the plan, the Vietnamese national team will meet Yongin FC on July 8. This is considered a test with higher professional quality than the first match, creating conditions for coach Kim Sang-sik to continue reviewing the force, assessing the performance of the players and completing tactical plans before entering ASEAN Cup 2026.
