Dong Nai considers the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien Metro project to the City Administrative Center and Long Thanh airport; Thu Thiem - Long Thanh urban railway project.

From July 8 - September 7, the People's Council of Dong Nai City, term I, will hold the 3rd session (mid-year).

According to the expected working program, the City People's Council will consider submissions on investment and construction plans for extending the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien Metro line to the City Administrative Center and Long Thanh airport; Thu Thiem - Long Thanh urban railway (Metro) project.

According to the submission of Dong Nai City People's Committee, for the project to extend the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line to the City Administrative Center and Long Thanh airport, it is agreed to establish a project, investing in the form of public-private partnership, BT contract.

The project has a total length of about 43.5 km, the maximum design speed is 120 km, including sections: Section from Suoi Tien station to Dong Nai City Administrative Center (SC station), about 7.1 km long. Section from Dong Nai City Administrative Center (SC station) to Long Thanh airport, about 36.4 km long. It is expected to arrange 6 main stations and 5 planned for the future stations at traffic hubs, TOD development areas. Arrange 1 Depot on the route to serve management, operation, maintenance, and repair of carriages and main parts.

Construction locations in: Long Binh ward, Dong Hoa ward of Ho Chi Minh City; Bien Hoa, Tran Bien, Long Hung, Phuoc Tan, Tam Phuoc, Nhon Trach, Long Thanh wards and An Phuoc commune of Dong Nai City.

The project is paid for by land fund and the budget of Dong Nai City.

The project is authorized by the People's Committee of Dong Nai City according to the content agreed upon by the People's Councils of the two localities.

For the Thu Thiem - Long Thanh urban railway project, it is agreed to establish a project, investing in the form of public-private partnership, BT contract.

The project has its starting point at Thu Thiem station (HCMC). The ending point is Cam Duong Depot (Dong Nai City). The total length of the route is about 47.7 km, including 18 stations (2 underground stations, 16 elevated stations).

To suit the actual implementation, the socio-economic development strategy of each locality, in order to optimize costs and improve investment efficiency, the project will be implemented first at 14 stations (Binh Trung, Do Xuan Hop, Ba Hien, Phu Huu, Long Truong, Vuon Dua, Long Tan, Phu Thanh, Tuy Ha, Nhon Trach, Phuoc Thien, Xom Goc, Long Thanh 1, Long Thanh 2). Arrange 1 Depot located in Xuan Duong commune, Dong Nai city.

Construction locations are Binh Trung ward, Long Truong ward, Ho Chi Minh City; Nhon Trach ward, Long Thanh ward, Long Phuoc commune, Xuan Que commune and Xuan Duong commune of Dong Nai City.

The project is paid for by land fund and the Ho Chi Minh City budget.

The responsibility of each locality in compensation, support, and resettlement, for the scope of projects in Ho Chi Minh City, will be decided by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to separate the content of compensation, support, and resettlement into independent projects implemented with Ho Chi Minh City's budget capital according to the provisions of law on public investment.

For the scope of projects in Dong Nai City, the Dong Nai City People's Committee will decide to separate the content of compensation, support for resettlement into independent projects and implement them with the budget capital of Dong Nai City according to the provisions of law on public investment.
