As part of a training program in Nagoya city to prepare for the 2026 AFC U17 Women's Championship finals taking place in May in China, Vietnam U17 women's team enters a series of important friendly matches to review forces and improve expertise.
According to the plan, the team will successively play 3 friendly matches against opponents including Fujieda Junshin High School (April 7), Iwata Higashi High School (April 8) and Aichi Toho University (April 11). These are all teams with good professional qualifications, promising to bring useful challenges for the coaching staff and students in the process of preparing for the continental tournament.
In order to serve the goal of testing the squad and evaluating the performance of the players, the matches will be organized in a special format consisting of 3 halves, each half lasting 40 minutes. Through this, the coaching staff has more conditions to observe and check the capacity of each position, and at the same time develop appropriate tactical plans for each specific playing situation.
The Vietnam U17 women's team has been in Japan since April 5 and quickly stabilized accommodation and living. Before the first friendly match, the whole team had 2 training sessions to get used to weather conditions, fields as well as adjust their physical condition after a long journey.
According to the schedule, the first friendly match of the Vietnam U17 women's team will take place at 2:00 PM on April 7 local time (1:00 PM Vietnam time), against Fujieda Junshin High School. This is considered an important test of expertise and adaptability of the players before entering the stage of completing the force towards the 2026 AFC U17 Women's Championship finals.
