Vietnam U17 women's team goes to Japan for training to prepare for the Asian tournament

In the early morning of April 5, Vietnam U17 women's team departed for Japan for training in Nagoya to prepare for the 2026 AFC U17 Women's Championship in China.

According to the plan, the Vietnam U17 women's team will have more than a week of training in Japan. During this time, the coaching staff will focus on improving physical fitness, perfecting expertise and organizing playing style through in-depth training sessions, and also play 3 friendly matches with local teams to review forces and accumulate international competition experience.

At the 2026 AFC U17 Women's Championship finals, Vietnam U17 women's team is in Group A with opponents including host U17 women's China, U17 women's Thailand and U17 women's Myanmar.

This is a highly competitive group, requiring the whole team to prepare carefully to aim for positive results at the tournament.

After completing the training camp in Japan, the team will return to Hanoi to continue completing preparations before heading to China to participate in the continental finals taking place from May 1.
