According to Lao Dong's records, athletes who achieved results at SEA Games 33 were paid hot bonuses by the Vietnamese Sports Delegation into accounts from the finance and accounting department.
Before competing in SEA Games 33, the hot bonuses announced by the Vietnamese Sports Delegation were 10 million VND, 5 million VND and 3 million VND respectively for each gold medal, silver medal and bronze medal.
The Vietnamese sports delegation achieved results of 87 gold medals, 81 silver medals and 110 bronze medals at SEA Games 33.
The payment of hot bonuses is based on the bank account provided by the athlete. There have been some cases of providing incorrect account numbers, but after updating over the past time, receiving hot bonuses is no slower than with colleagues.
In addition to hot bonuses, athletes will be paid bonuses according to the regulations in Decree 152/2018/ND-CP of 45 million VND, 25 million VND and 20 million VND respectively, corresponding to 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal. Each SEA Games record will receive an additional 20 million VND.
This is the reward level stipulated by the State, and will also be paid to the bank accounts of each individual coach and athlete after the finance and accounting department summarizes according to regulations.
From February 15, 2026, when Decree 349/2025/ND-CP is applied, the new bonus levels for coaches and athletes in SEA Games competitions will be implemented.
Bonuses according to the new regime are 54 million VND, 30 million VND and 24 million VND respectively for each gold medal, silver medal and bronze medal.
