At SEA Games 33, Ha Tinh sports participated with 12 athletes, competing in 6 sports, including: athletics, rowing, sailing, karate, shooting and men's football.
At the end of the Games, the Ha Tinh sports delegation excellently won 11 medals, including 8 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal.
Notably, athlete Nguyen Thi Ngoc excellently won 3 gold medals in athletics events: women's 400m, men's 4 x 400m relay, women's 4 x 400m relay.
In karate, martial artist Hoang Thi My Tam won 2 gold medals in the individual kumite event in the 61 kg weight class and the women's team kumite event.
At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thien Dinh and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Nguyet awarded certificates of merit from the Prime Minister and certificates of merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coaches and athletes with outstanding achievements at SEA Games 33; Awarded certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee to 4 coaches with outstanding achievements.
Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet - Vice Chairwoman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee congratulated the outstanding achievements that the coaches and athletes of the Ha Tinh sports delegation have achieved, contributing to the success of the Vietnamese sports delegation at SEA Games 33 and affirming the position of the province's sports.
