To recognize and commend the coaches and players of the Vietnamese tennis teams who have strived to achieve good results at recent international tournaments, VTF will hold a ceremony to honor the Davis Cup team as well as like the U12 Vietnam team. The event will take place on the afternoon of August 5 in Vung Tau city.
The event will be attended by VTF leaders, representatives of sponsors along with students of Happy School and youth teams, from 25 provinces and cities across the country participating in the Youth Tennis Championship. National 2024 from August 5 to 15 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
In June 2024, the Vietnamese team with its rejuvenated force officially survived the 2024 Asia-Oceania Davis Cup Group III tournament taking place in Amman, Jordan. The final result, the Vietnam Davis Cup team ranked 4th out of 10 participating teams. This is a commendable achievement for Vietnamese tennis players.
Meanwhile, the Vietnamese U12 men's and women's teams participated for the first time and had good results at the Southeast Asia U12 men's and women's youth team tournament taking place in Singapore in June 2024. Accordingly, the U12 men's team won the bronze medal and will continue to participate in the final round of the 2024 Asian men's and women's youth team tournament in Kazakhstan in September 2024. Meanwhile, the women's team ranked 4th out of 11 participating countries, with many impressive performances.
In light of these achievements, VTF decided to reward the Vietnam Davis Cup team with 5,000 USD as well as incentive rewards for the U12 men's and women's teams. After the end of the Commendation Ceremony, in order to create opportunities for exchange and connection between generations of tennis players, VTF will continue to organize a tennis exchange between players from the Davis Cup team and the Vietnamese team.
