On the evening of October 25, VTV Binh Dien Long An club made an official announcement about withdrawing from the 2025 World Volleyball Championship.
After an impressive achievement with the runner-up position in the 2025 Asian Women's Club Cup, VTV Binh Dien Long An is honored to participate in the 2025 World Championship organized by FIVB. This is a great joy and pride not only for the team but also for Vietnamese volleyball fans.
However, FIVB chose Sao Paulo City (Brazil) as the location and time to organize the tournament from December 8, 2025 to December 14, 2025, coinciding with the 33rd SEA Games. The head coach and 5 key athletes of the team will gather with the national team.
VTV Binh Dien Long An always identifies creating favorable conditions for members to participate and perform national tasks as the most important thing. Therefore, after reaching the consensus of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, the club decided not to participate in the 2025 World Championship. This is an extremely difficult but responsible decision, demonstrating the spirit of putting the interests of the national team first, wrote the VTV Binh Dien Long An homepage.
The 2025 World Championship brings together top teams, including Osasco (Brazil), Praia Clube (Brazil), Imoco Conegliano (Italy), Scandicci (Italy), Lima (Peru), Zhetysu VC (Kazakhstan), Zamalek (Egypt) and VTV Binh Dien Long An (Vietnam).
VTV Binh Dien Long An team is the current national champion of Vietnam. The team is currently holding the runner-up position in the AVC Champions League 2025 of Asian women's volleyball.
After this decision, FIVB will consider and adjust the number of teams participating in the tournament.
