The Vietnamese women's volleyball team won a ticket to the AVC Nations Cup 2025 final after a convincing victory over Kazakhstan with a score of 3-1. This is the third consecutive time coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team have participated in the championship match.
The defending champion's opponent in the final is another representative of Southeast Asia - the Philippines. In the semi-final, this team beat Taiwan (China) with a dramatic score of 3-2. The coaching staff and the Philippines players burst into tears when they first registered for the Asian final.
In terms of both strength and expertise, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is considered slightly superior to the Philippines. On the world volleyball rankings, Thanh Thuy and her teammates are 19 places higher than their opponents.
Not to mention, Vietnam has participated in the world tournament twice after impressive achievements in the continent, while the Philippines only participated as the host team.
The journey in the group stage of the AVC Nations Cup 2025 of the Vietnam women's volleyball team is also more impressive. However, that does not mean that coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's students are allowed to be subjective.
In fact, the Vietnamese women's team is still limited in the first step. The proof is that in the second set against Kazakhstan, the players continuously made mistakes and lost 19-15. However, the timely adjustment of coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet helped the home team overcome the difficulties.
Therefore, the Vietnamese team needs to be cautious, playing confidently with a reasonable strategy. The home field advantage and the support of thousands of fans will give Thanh Thuy and her teammates more strength.
The match between the Vietnamese and Philippine women's volleyball teams will take place at 8:00 p.m. today (June 14) and will be broadcast live on On Sports channel, On Plus application, VTVCab On.
