People take advantage of buying "large discount" clothes at the end of the year
Lao Dong reporters' records on February 10th at fashion business streets in Hanoi show that many stores have simultaneously launched deep discount programs to stimulate Tet shopping demand. Billboards "Sale 30 - 70%", "Year-end clearance", "Buy 2 get an additional 10% discount" are hung right in front of the door, attracting a large number of people to see and choose.
Ms. Nguyen Linh Mai (35 years old, Viet Hung ward, Hanoi) said that her family often waits until near Tet to buy clothes, when many stores simultaneously reduce prices.
This Tet holiday is much cheaper than before, and the designs are also diverse, easy to choose for both adults and children" - Ms. Mai said.

Similarly, Ms. Ta Thi Nhung (Hai Ba Trung ward, Hanoi) shared that taking advantage of the end of the year, she spends time shopping for clothes to prepare for Tet. According to her, many stores apply year-end clearance and discount programs, so the general price is lower than before, suitable for personal spending capacity.
Although many items can be bought on e-commerce platforms nowadays, I still like to go directly to the store to try, choose models that suit my body shape and carefully check the material of the product before deciding to buy" - Ms. Nhung said.

Supermarkets are bustling with Tet shopping
In parallel with the clothing market, supermarkets and shopping centers also entered the peak Tet shopping season. Records at some shopping centers such as Tasco Mall, AEON Mall, GO!... show that the number of customers has increased significantly. Many checkout counters are always crowded with people waiting.
Tet-serving items such as confectionery, jams, dried foods, drinks, meat, and vegetables are sold in abundance. In addition, Tet gift baskets with diverse prices are also displayed right from the entrance, meeting the gifting needs of the people.

Ms. Ngo Thi Hanh (68 years old, Gia Lam commune) shared that after completing the Ong Cong Ong Tao worship ceremony in the morning, in the afternoon of the same day, she and her family members took the opportunity to go to the supermarket to shop for Tet items.
According to Ms. Hanh, although the number of buyers is large, this is a typical atmosphere of the days leading up to Tet, taking place only once a year, so the family still feels excited.
The supermarket has many items for Tet, prices are publicly listed, helping consumers easily choose and gradually actively shop" - Ms. Hanh said.

Not only older people, many young people also choose supermarkets as their main shopping destinations. Ms. Nguyen Linh Dan (23 years old, Dong Anh commune, Hanoi) said that this year is the first time she has personally prepared shopping and cooking for her family in the upcoming Tet days. Therefore, she has proactively prepared a list of items to buy and went to the supermarket to choose and put each item in the basket.
In the days leading up to Tet, it is difficult to avoid the situation of crowded shopping, but this is something I have planned in advance and still have to arrange time to complete the preparations for my family" - Ms. Linh Dan expressed.
