Although there are still a few days until the official opening ceremony, at Binh Dong wharf (Binh Dong ward), the Tet atmosphere has spread bustlingly. Boats carrying flowers and ornamental plants from the Mekong Delta provinces continuously dock, painting the painting "On the wharf, under the boat" typical of the Southern river region in the heart of the city.

Recording these days, the atmosphere in the Binh Dong wharf area is becoming busier than ever. From early dawn, boats carrying thousands of pots of flowers and ornamental plants from the "flower capitals" of the Mekong Delta such as Sa Dec (Dong Thap province), Cho Lach (Vinh Long province) have begun to line up to dock.
Along the banks of the Tau Hu canal (in Binh Dong ward, Ho Chi Minh City), ornamental flowers are arranged neatly, stretching from under the boat to the sidewalk. The bright red color of bougainvillea, the brilliant yellow color of daisies, chrysanthemums blending with the green color of ornamental plants create a space full of vitality.

According to the schedule, the Spring Flower Market On the Wharf and Boat of Binh Ngo Tet 2026 will officially open on February 12, but to promptly serve the early sightseeing and shopping needs of city residents, small traders have been busy arranging goods right from this moment.
Currently, paper flowers are one of the products most sought after by customers, with prices ranging from 300,000 to 500,000 VND per pot. In addition, chrysanthemum, marigold and raspberry stalls are also attracting great attention, with prices ranging from tens of thousands of VND to 250,000 VND/pot.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nam, a small trader from Vinh Long province, shared: "Although the opening day has not yet arrived, looking at the bustling boat scene, we feel that the Tet atmosphere is very close.
According to the plan of Binh Dong Ward People's Committee, this year's Spring Flower Market takes place along the Tau Hu - Ben Nghe canal and Ben Binh Dong road. The scale of the flower market has nearly 400 business lots with a variety of types: ornamental flowers, apricot blossoms, chrysanthemums, marigolds, kumquats, bonsai, fruits, vegetables and OCOP products typical of the region.
The highlight this year is the miniature landscape cluster on Nguyen Van Cua street, inspired by the image of boats carrying spring flowers, a miniature landscape combined with the mascot of Binh Ngo year with the bow of the boat facing the main road, symbolizing reaching out to sea and a smooth new year.

With the careful preparation of Binh Dong ward authorities and the efforts of Mekong Delta gardeners, the 2026 Spring Flower Market promises to be not only an ideal flower and ornamental plant shopping destination, but also a space to preserve the soul of Southern Tet, bringing to city residents a meaningful spiritual stopover in the last days of the year.
