WTI oil price was at 76.51 USD/barrel, down 0.09 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.12%. Brent oil was at 80.57 USD/barrel, up 0.72 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.9%.
However, in the past week, WTI and Brent oil prices simultaneously fell sharply. In which, WTI oil decreased by 9.86%, Brent oil decreased by 7.74%.
Brent oil prices rose in the last trading session of the week after negotiations between the US and Iran in Switzerland were unexpectedly cancelled, raising concerns about the possibility of turning a temporary ceasefire agreement into a long-term peaceful solution. Previously in the session, oil prices had turned down after Israel and Hezbollah forces reached a ceasefire agreement.
The Swiss Foreign Ministry said that the US-Iran talks scheduled to take place in Bürgenstock on June 19 will not proceed as planned. The White House also confirmed that US Vice President JD Vance will not visit Switzerland, citing logistical issues related to the negotiation process that have not yet been resolved.
A day earlier, Mr. Vance said that oil tankers transporting more than 12 million barrels of oil passed through the Strait of Hormuz in just one night.
The average world finished gasoline and oil price between the price adjustment period on June 11, 2026 and the price adjustment period on June 18, 2026 is:
107,926 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5 RON 92 gasoline (down $8.470/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 7.28%);
110,912 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline used to mix E10 RON 95-III gasoline;
121,620 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel oil (down 17,958 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 12.87%);
524,206 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (down 90,340 USD/ton, equivalent to a decrease of 14.70%).
The selling prices of popular consumer gasoline and oil items on the market on June 18 are as follows:
- E5 RON 92 gasoline: not higher than 20,126 VND/liter, 627 VND/liter lower than E10 RON 95-III gasoline;
- E10 RON 95-III gasoline: not higher than 20,753 VND/liter;
- Diesel oil 0.05S: not higher than 23,534 VND/liter;
- 180CST 3.5S fuel oil: not higher than 16,680 VND/kg.
