At 5:40 PM on September 9, world oil prices simultaneously increased. WTI oil price was at 95.56 USD/barrel, up 2.53 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 2.72%. Brent oil was at 100.90 USD/barrel, up 2.98 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 3.04%.

The oil market continued to maintain its upward momentum in the trading session on September 9 as concerns about the risk of supply disruption in the Middle East are increasing. The upward trend is prevailing in the context of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East region showing no signs of cooling down, while the transport situation through Hormuz continues to be complicated.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world gasoline and oil market in this operating period is affected by key factors such as: the US and Iran continue military attacks against each other; the US Federal Reserve is likely to raise interest rates by the end of this year to curb inflation; military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues, continuing to focus heavily on energy facilities, oil refineries... The above factors have caused world finished gasoline and oil prices in recent days to fluctuate upwards and downwards depending on the item.

The selling prices of popular consumer gasoline and oil items in the domestic market in the operating period on September 9 are as follows:

- E5 RON92 gasoline: not higher than 22,486 VND/liter, 788 VND/liter lower than E10 RON95-III gasoline;

- E10 RON95-III gasoline: not higher than 23,274 VND/liter;

- Diesel oil 0.05S: not higher than 27,743 VND/liter;

- 180CST 3.5S fuel oil: not higher than 17,641 VND/kg.

For the domestic market, representatives of gasoline and oil enterprises predict that gasoline and oil prices in tomorrow's price adjustment period may increase. The increase will also depend on the spending of the price stabilization fund.

Gasoline and oil selling prices of neighboring countries Vietnam on September 3, 2026:

- Regarding gasoline prices: Thailand: 29,533 VND/liter (Government subsidies); Cambodia: 28,337 VND/liter (Government subsidies); Laos: 45,804 VND/liter; China: 32,879 VND/liter (Government price control); Vietnam: 23,274 VND/liter.

- Regarding oil prices: Thailand: 30,081 VND/liter (Government subsidies); Cambodia: 33,218 VND/liter; Laos: 38,208 VND/liter; China: 29,824 VND/liter (Government price control); Vietnam: 27,743 VND/liter.

Vietnam's gasoline and oil prices are at a low level compared to countries sharing a common border.
