According to a survey at 2:58 p.m. on June 25 (Vietnam time), WTI oil price increased by 1.15 USD/barrel (up 1.79%), to 65.52 USD/barrel. Brent oil price increased by 1.16 USD/barrel (up 1.75%), to 67.33 USD/barrel.
According to analysts, the ceasefire between Israel and Iran has somewhat eased concerns about the risk of disruption of oil supplies from the Middle East - which accounts for the majority of global exports.
Regarding the domestic petroleum situation, according to Mr. Doan Tien Quyet, data analysis expert of VPI, the retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline may increase by 660 VND (3.2%) to 21,290 VND/liter, while RON 95-III gasoline may increase by 595 VND (2.8%) to 21,835 VND/liter.
VPI's model predicts that retail oil prices this period will also share the same uptrend. Of which, kerosene may increase by 4.3% to VND19,734/liter, followed by diesel which may increase by 3.9% to VND19897/liter, while mazut is forecast to increase slightly by only 0.5% to VND17,728/kg.
VPI forecasts that the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade will continue not to set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund this period.
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the upcoming price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may continue to increase.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 300-400 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 300-400 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 500-600 VND/liter.
Domestic retail gasoline prices on June 26, 2025 will be applied according to the adjustment session from 3:00 p.m. on June 19 of the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In the adjustment session on June 19, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased compared to the previous adjustment period, at VND 20,631/liter (up VND 1,169/liter). RON 95-III gasoline price increased compared to the previous adjustment period, priced at VND 21,244/liter (up VND 1,277/liter).
Prices of oil products have also increased simultaneously. Of which, diesel 0.05S is priced at VND 19,156/liter (up VND 1,456/liter); kerosene has a new price of VND 18,923/liter (up VND 1,412/liter); mazut is priced at VND 17,643/kg (up VND 1,182/kg).
