According to a survey at 4:16 p.m. on June 23 (Vietnam time), WTI oil price increased by 0.11 USD/barrel (up 0.15%), to 75.59 USD/barrel. Brent oil price increased by 0.19 USD/barrel (up 0.26%), to 74.03 USD/barrel.
Oil prices increased sharply on Monday, reaching the highest level since January, after the US's move over the weekend, in coordination with Israel, to attack Iran's nuclear facilities. This raises concerns about increased supply.
Experts say that the current geopolitical tensions are the main factor driving Brent oil prices to increase and may reach the price of 100 USD, with the possibility of 120 USD/barrel becoming more and more feasible.
Regarding domestic gasoline prices, representing a gasoline trading enterprise, domestic gasoline prices will fluctuate according to the world gasoline situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the upcoming price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may continue to increase sharply.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 800-1,000 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 800-1,000 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 1,400-1,600 VND/liter.
Domestic retail gasoline prices on June 23, 2025 will be applied according to the adjustment session from 3:00 p.m. on June 19 of the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In the adjustment session on June 19, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased compared to the previous adjustment period, at VND 20,631/liter (up VND 1,169/liter). RON 95-III gasoline price increased compared to the previous adjustment period, priced at VND 21,244/liter (up VND 1,277/liter).
Prices of oil products have also increased simultaneously. Of which, diesel 0.05S is priced at VND 19,156/liter (up VND 1,456/liter); kerosene has a new price of VND 18,923/liter (up VND 1,412/liter); mazut is priced at VND 17,643/kg (up VND 1,182/kg).
