Gasoline price forecast to reverse down in next week's operating session

It is forecasted that in the price adjustment session next week, gasoline prices may fluctuate in different directions.

World oil prices are on a sharp decline. At the end of the weekend trading session, WTI crude oil prices were at 61.87 USD/barrel, down 1.61 USD/barrel; equivalent to a decrease of 2.54%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 63.48 USD/barrel and opened the weekend session at 63.33 USD/barrel.

Brent oil was at 75.50 USD/barrel, down 1.49 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.22%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 66.99 USD/barrel and opened the weekend session at 66.82 USD/barrel.

The world oil market last week (from August 28, 2025 to September 3, 2025) was affected by main factors such as: Information about the OPEC+ meeting on September 7, 2025; the USD decreased; the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continued... The above factors have caused world oil prices in recent days to fluctuate up and down depending on each commodity, but the increasing trend is mainly.

According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price management period, retail prices of gasoline may adjust in opposite directions in the direction of decreasing gasoline prices and increasing oil prices.

In the adjustment session last week (September 4), the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased compared to the previous adjustment period, at VND19,55/liter (up VND80/liter). RON 95-III gasoline price increased compared to the previous adjustment period, priced at VND 20,439/liter (up VND 76/liter).

Prices of oil products have also increased simultaneously. Of which, diesel 0.05S is priced at VND18,473/liter (up VND116/liter); kerosene has a new price of VND18,314/liter (up VND89/liter); mazut is priced at VND15,376/kg (up VND116/kg).
