Happy when children are supported with boarding meals
Mr. Ha Doan Du (a worker in Thang Long Industrial Park, staying in Thien Loc commune, Hanoi) has 2 children studying in grade 2 and grade 5 at a public school. September 5 is the opening day, the couple always wants to take their children to school on this special occasion to encourage their spirit.
After working the night shift, it was not until more than 6 o'clock that the male worker returned to his boarding house. Although quite tired, he "responsible" of taking his 2 children to the opening ceremony. Before I could eat or drink, I took my motorbike to take my children to school in time - at 6:45 a.m. they had to be at school, said Mr. Du.
Although the time is urgent, he does not forget to remind his children to dress neatly, bring adequate school supplies for the first class and necessary personal items.
After taking his children to school, Mr. Du returned home to eat and rest. According to Mr. Du, because it is the opening day, he takes him to school early, so he takes him; if it is a normal day, his wife will usually take him to school; when the children return from school, who would be more convenient will pick him up. The school is near the boarding house, so taking their children is not too difficult.
Regarding the new school year, Mr. Du expressed his hope that his children will be able to live in a good educational environment so that they can study, play, and develop comprehensively. In addition, according to him, this school year has many new points, including the fact that primary school students are supported with boarding meals. This is very good news for families of workers like him, because it will save a significant amount of money, helping families with children studying less.
It is known that more than 3,000 billion VND is expected to be spent on supporting boarding meals for primary school students. This is a policy approved in a resolution of the Hanoi People's Council right before the new school year. Over 750,000 primary school students this school year, including public and private students (except for students from schools with foreign investment) will be supported.
Bringing children to school makes the opening day more meaningful
Similar to Mr. Du, Mr. Pham Duy Dinh (residing in Thien Loc commune) took his child to attend the opening ceremony on the morning of September 5. Mr. Dinh has 2 children, one in grade 3, one in grade 6. On normal days, Mr. Dinh and his wife take turns picking up and dropping off their children. If they are busy one day, they will ask neighbors to take their younger child away; the older child will ride his own bicycle to school. But on the opening day, he wanted to take his child directly to school. The youngest child goes to school near his home, while the older child goes to school further away.
Although the youngest child can walk and the older child often goes to school by bicycle, the opening ceremony is a special occasion, so I try to arrange work to take the children directly to school. With parents taking them away, the children will be greatly encouraged to enter the new school year" - Mr. Dinh shared.
According to Mr. Dinh, he was a student, so he understands that having parents accompany him during the opening days will help to encourage the children mentally, thereby helping the parents-child relationship become more connected and closer.
Parents who go with their children will also be very happy and joyful to see their children happy in their new clothes to start the new school year. Just seeing the children happy and excited on this day will make all the fatigue in each parent disappear. This is a simple happiness, but also very unforgettable for every parent - Mr. Dinh shared.
