According to a survey at 12:10 on December 10, world oil prices increased slightly. WTI crude oil prices increased by 0.14 USD/barrel (up 0.24%), to 58.39 USD/barrel. Brent oil price increased by 0.13 USD/barrel (up 0.21%), to 62.07 USD/barrel.
Oil prices were steady in the fourth session, after falling about 1% in the previous session. Meanwhile, the market continues to be cautious as investors follow the peace negotiation process between Russia and Ukraine, while waiting for the decision on the US interest rate policy.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world petroleum market this time (from November 27, 2025 to December 3, 2025) is affected by main factors such as: OPEC+ decided to keep oil production unchanged until the end of 2026; increased tensions between the United States and Venezuela; military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues; the United States and Russia have not reached an agreement to end the conflict in Ukraine... The above factors have caused world petroleum prices in recent days to increase and decrease depending on each commodity.
For the domestic market, VPI's machine Learning-based gasoline price forecasting model shows that in the operating period tomorrow, December 11, 2025, retail gasoline prices may decrease by 0.3-2% compared to the previous operating period, if the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade does not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund.
According to Mr. Doan Tien Quyet, data analysis expert of VPI, retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline may decrease by 218 VND (1.1%) to 19,602 VND/liter, while RON 95-III gasoline is forecast to decrease by 411 VND (2%) to 20,049 VND/liter.
VPI's model predicts that in this period, diesel prices may decrease by 1.1% to VND 18,187/liter, kerosene may decrease by 0.9% to VND 18,716/liter, and mazut may decrease by 0.3% to VND 13,390/kg.VPI forecasts that the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade will continue not to set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund this period.
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may decrease.
Of which, RON 95-III gasoline price is forecast to decrease by about 290 VND/liter; E5 RON 92-II gasoline decreases by about 80 VND/liter; Diesel oil decreases by about 50 VND/liter.
In the adjustment session last week (December 4), gasoline prices increased simultaneously. Of which, E5 RON 92 gasoline is priced at VND19,822/liter (up VND534/liter). RON 95-III gasoline is priced at VND 20,460/liter (up VND 451/liter).
Meanwhile, prices of oil products have decreased simultaneously. Diesel 0.05S is priced at VND18,380/liter (down VND420/liter); kerosene has a new price of VND18,893/liter (down VND580/liter); mazut 180CST 3.5S is priced at VND13,436/kg (down VND52/kg).
