According to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, at around 1:00 p.m. on December 10, a fire broke out in a row of houses between 168 - 170 Lo Duc Street, Hai Ba Trung Ward, Hanoi.
Many people discovered the incident and used fire extinguishers to put out the fire but were unsuccessful. At the scene, the fire engulfed a level 4 house, black smoke rolled up tens of meters high, spreading rapidly to the surrounding area.
As soon as the news was received, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force dispatched 2 fire trucks and many officers and soldiers to the scene to deploy a fire fighting formation. The authorities simultaneously blocked a entire section of Lo Duc Street from Lane 160 to Kien Ngu Street to serve the fire fighting work, ensuring safety for the people.
At around 11:20 p.m., the fire continued to flare up fiercely. Many businesses nearby have urgently moved their assets outside to prevent risks.
The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
