Latest forecast on gasoline prices in this week's operating session

It is forecasted that in this week's operating session, gasoline prices may increase by 110-240 VND/liter.

According to a survey at 19:52 on October 13, world oil prices increased simultaneously. WTI crude oil prices increased by 0.61 USD/barrel (up 1.04%), to 59.51 USD/barrel. Brent oil price increased by 0.6 USD/barrel (up 0.96%), to 63.33 USD/barrel.

Oil prices turned up on Monday, after falling to a 5-month low in the previous session. The recovery momentum as investors look ahead to potential talks between the US and Chinese presidents could help ease trade tensions between the world's two largest economies.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world petroleum market from October 2, 2025 to October 8, 2025 is affected by main factors such as: OPEC+ announced an increase in oil production in November but the increase was lower than expected; global oil demand tended to weaken; military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continued, Ukraine continued to increase attacks on Russia's energy facilities. The above factors have caused world oil prices in recent days to fluctuate up and down depending on each commodity, but the downward trend is mainly the downward trend.

According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may increase.

In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 240 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 110 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 40 VND/liter.

In the recent adjustment session (October 9), gasoline prices decreased simultaneously compared to the previous price management period. Of which, E5 RON 92 gasoline is priced at VND 19,138/liter (down VND 486/liter). RON 95-III gasoline is priced at VND19,729/liter (down VND480/liter).

Prices of oil products have decreased simultaneously. Of which, diesel 0.05S is priced at VND 18,604/liter (down VND 434/liter); kerosene has a new price of VND 18,434/liter (down VND 571/liter); mazut is priced at VND 14,808/kg (down VND 562/kg).
