At around 9:30 p.m. on October 13, a tractor-trailer (license plate unknown) suddenly caught fire in the front of the vehicle while traveling on the elevated Ring Road 3, passing through Thanh Xuan Ward (Hanoi).
According to witnesses, the car was traveling from Khuat Duy Tien to Thang Long Avenue. When arriving at the area opposite 156 Khuat Duy Tien, the front of the vehicle suddenly caught fire. The driver quickly hit the steering wheel into the emergency lane and left the cabin.
Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department - Hanoi City Police dispatched 2 fire trucks and officers and soldiers to the scene. After about 30 minutes, the fire was controlled, but the front of the car was completely burned down.
The fire did not cause any human casualties. The cause of the incident is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
