Domestic coffee prices
Today (September 13), the coffee market ended a week of narrow fluctuations, currently the purchase price fluctuates in the range of 94,700 - 95,300 VND/kg, an increase of 300 - 1,000 VND/kg compared to the price range of the previous week. The average purchase price of coffee in the Central Highlands provinces today is 95,200 VND/kg.
The old Dak Nong area is still the province with the highest coffee purchasing price in the Central Highlands region, differing from the average price by about 200 VND/kg. Compared to the closing price last weekend, the coffee price in this area decreased by 300 VND/kg, bringing it to the market at 95,000 VND/kg.
In Dak Lak and Gia Lai, coffee prices both decreased by 800 VND/kg, down to 94,700 VND/kg.
Similarly, Lam Dong also decreased by 700 VND/kg, currently trading at a price of 94,600 VND/kg.
World coffee prices
On the London and New York exchanges, the coffee market diễn biến trái chiều (developed in opposite directions) in all terms.
On the online trading floor Robusta, the September 2026 futures contract on the London exchange was traded at 3,495 USD/ton, an increase of 151 USD/ton compared to the previous closing session. The November 2026 contract increased by 95 USD/ton, to 3,525 USD/ton.
On the New York Stock Exchange, Arabica coffee price for September 2026 delivery decreased by 10.6 cents/lb, reaching 313.65 US cents/lb. December 2026 delivery contract decreased by 9.9 cents/lb, reaching 285.7 US cents/lb.
Market outlook
Robusta coffee prices in Vietnam increased this week as forecast heavy rain in the Central Highlands region raised concerns about the possibility of causing damage to the crop, although trading activities remained sluggish.
The picture of global supply is recording many intertwined factors in leading manufacturing countries.
In Brazil, the 2026/27 Arabica harvest has approached the completion stage by the end of August thanks to dry weather. According to CEPEA, as of the end of August 2026, the harvested area in Zona da Mata reached 97%, South Minas Gerais reached 90% and Cerrado Mineiro reached 85-90%. However, higher than average winter rainfall has negatively affected test quality, causing this crop year to be forecast to be of the lowest quality in recent years.
