Currently, the purchase price fluctuates between VND116,500 - VND117,300/kg. The average coffee purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces today reached VND117,000/kg.

In Gia Lai, the coffee purchase price today is fixed at 116,800 VND/kg, an increase of at least 800 VND/kg. Meanwhile, Dak Lak has a more impressive increase of up to 1,000 VND/kg, raising the coffee price to 117,000 VND/kg.
Notably, Dak Nong still holds its position among the provinces and cities with the highest coffee purchasing price, listed at 117,300 VND/kg, the highest increase of 1,000 VND/kg.
On the London and New York exchanges, the coffee market moved in the same direction across all terms. On the London Robusta coffee exchange, coffee prices reversed and decreased slightly, moving further away from the peak of 5,000 USD/ton. The contract for delivery in March 2025 decreased by 0.47% (equivalent to 23 USD/ton), reaching 4,889 USD/ton. In the same direction, the contract for delivery in May 2025 decreased by 0.21% (equivalent to 10 USD/ton), anchoring at 4,846 USD/ton.
Similarly, the New York Arabica coffee market saw a big change after a day of green. The March 2025 and May 2025 delivery periods both fell nearly 1%, hitting the market at 327.15 cents/lb and 323.15 cents/lb.
Robusta coffee prices fell this week as farmers in Vietnam, the world’s largest producer of Robusta, increased sales ahead of the week-long Lunar New Year holiday, Reuters reported.
Meanwhile, Arabica coffee prices fell after news of record coffee exports from Brazil. According to the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Association (Cecafe), Brazil exported 3.41 million bags of green coffee (60kg/bag) in December 2024, down 10.5% compared to the same period last year.
South America continues to be the largest coffee exporting region and has high growth while Asia has decreased, mainly due to a sharp decline in supply from Vietnam.
In addition to the weather factor that causes Vietnam's coffee harvest to be slower, with harvest not until December, the financial needs of garden owners are also the reason why orders are not sold out en masse.
