World coffee prices increase and decrease alternately
On the London Stock Exchange, Robusta prices for September 2025 reversed down 4 USD, down to 3,661 USD/ton. Longer terms increased and decreased between 2 - 20 USD/ton, recording a price range of 3,693 - 3,536 USD/ton.
At the same time, Arabica prices on the New York exchange simultaneously decreased by 1.9 - 4.2 cents/pound. With the September 2025 delivery period down to 303.75 cents/pound. This development shows investors' caution in the short term, while expectations for supply and demand in the medium and long term are still positive.
Market outlook depends on many factors
The simultaneous increase in domestic coffee prices reflects market demand continuing to be stable, while domestic supply is still under pressure due to weather and production costs. This is a positive signal for farmers and businesses to purchase.
The world coffee market recorded mixed fluctuations between two major exchanges. While Robusta coffee prices in London increased slightly in long terms, reflecting positive expectations for long-term supply and demand, Arabica prices in New York decreased simultaneously, showing that short-term supply pressure is increasing. Factors such as abundant output from Brazil, favorable weather and a stronger USD are negatively affecting Arabica prices.
