Domestic coffee prices today
The domestic coffee market recorded a slight recovery after a series of continuous declines. Coffee prices in Dak Lak and Dak Nong both stood at the highest level of VND93,800/kg, an increase of VND800 compared to yesterday.
Gia Lai reached VND93,700/kg, while Lam Dong was the area with the lowest price at VND93,500/kg. Compared to the peak established on April 16, 2025 (co coffee prices range from 129,300 - 130,200 VND/kg), the current level is still about 36,000 VND/kg lower, clearly reflecting the strong adjustment of the market in the past two months.
World coffee prices continue to increase
On the London Stock Exchange, Robusta prices for September 2025 delivery increased by 141 USD, to 3,665 USD/ton. Longer terms also increased from 67 - 121 USD/ton, recording a price range of 3,458 - 3,595 USD/ton.
At the same time, Arabica prices on the New York exchange increased slightly from 1.15 - 1.60 cents/pound, with the September 2025 delivery period increasing to 305.65 cents/pound, equivalent to 6,740 USD/ton converted. This development shows that demand is recovering as the market expects new crop output in Brazil not to increase as strongly as previously forecast.
Market prospects are still unclear
Despite a slight recovery, coffee prices are still under pressure from increased inventories and the prospect of abundant supply in Brazil. Analysts said that the market is fluctuating in the sensitive area before there is a clear signal about the new crop output and policy adjustments from speculative funds.
The large range of fluctuations in recent sessions reflects the mentality of tug-of-war between buyers and sellers. Experts recommend that businesses and farmers need to closely monitor international and exchange rate developments to make reasonable sales decisions.
