As of 11:30 a.m. today (February 3), the domestic coffee market on the first day of returning to work increased, increasing by an average of VND1,700/kg per session. Currently, the purchase price fluctuates between VND129,700 - VND130,700/kg. The average coffee purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces today is at VND130,600/kg.
Lam Dong is still the province with the lowest coffee purchase price in the Central Highlands. Compared to the stable level at the end of last week (2.2), coffee prices in this region increased the most, up to 1,900 VND/kg, currently at 129,700 VND/kg.
Purchasing price is higher than Lam Dong, Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces recorded an increase of 1,700 VND/kg, standing at 130,500 VND/kg.
Notably, Dak Nong province is still the leading province in the Central Highlands region, listed at 130,700 VND/kg.

On the London and New York exchanges, the coffee market moved in opposite directions across all terms.
On the London Robusta Coffee Exchange, coffee prices reversed and decreased slightly, however, this price still exceeded the peak of 5,000 USD/ton. The contract for delivery in March 2025 decreased slightly by 0.28% (equivalent to 16 USD/ton), reaching 5,718 USD/ton. In the same direction, the contract for delivery in May 2025 decreased by 0.26% (equivalent to 15 USD/ton), anchored at 5,694 USD/ton.

On the other hand, the New York Arabica coffee market continued its upward trend. The March 2025 and May 2025 delivery periods increased by 4.45 cents/lb and 3.20 cents/lb, respectively, and are currently trading at 377.85 cents/lb and 371.35 cents/lb.

During the 9-day Tet holiday, coffee prices on the trading floors continued to skyrocket, pushing domestic coffee prices close to the peak of VND130,000/kg. On the first day back to work, domestic coffee prices exceeded VND130,000/kg.
Coffee prices are expected to continue to rise as US President Donald Trump imposes tariffs on many countries. According to experts, trading floors will decrease when supplies from Vietnam return and speculation on the selling floor is strong.
Some areas in the Central Highlands region continue to harvest late-ripening crops, while most have finished this year’s harvest. This year, Central Highlands coffee growers enjoyed a full Tet holiday with bumper crops and record high prices.
