Domestic pepper prices: Unchanged
As of 11:30 am today (March 25), domestic pepper prices remained unchanged, averaging 137,900 VND/kg. Currently, key areas are trading in the range of 137,000 - 139,000 VND/kg.
Domestic pepper prices remained stable after the day of rebound, specifically as follows:
Gia Lai and Dong Nai provinces both listed at the mark of 137,000 VND/kg.
Ho Chi Minh City maintains the price increase to 137,500 VND/kg.
Notably, Dak Lak and Lam Dong are currently the provinces with the highest price of 139,000 VND/kg.
World pepper prices: Not much fluctuation
In the world market, pepper prices continue to remain unchanged compared to the previous closing session. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets is no exception. Two items, black and white pepper, are traded in the range of 6, 994 - 9, 260 USD/ton (equivalent to 184, 390 VND/kg - 244, 131 VND/kg).
The Brazilian market is listed at the mark of 6,050 USD/ton (about 159,503 VND/kg). Notably, black and white pepper unexpectedly jumped up 100 - 200 USD/ton for many days, trading at 12,200 USD/ton and 9,300 USD/ton.
In Vietnam's pepper export market, black pepper prices of 500 g/l and 550 g/l are anchored at 6,300 - 6,400 USD/ton. Meanwhile, ASTA white pepper price remains unchanged, offered for sale at 9,050 USD/ton (equivalent to 238.595 VND/kg).

Assessments and forecasts
Data from the Vietnam Customs Department shows that Vietnam's pepper exports in the first two months of 2026 grew strongly in both volume and value compared to the same period. Accordingly, Vietnam exported 35,579 tons of pepper in the first two months of the year with a value of 231.23 million USD, an increase of 30.45% in volume and 25.36% in turnover compared to the same period in 2025.
The United States continues to be the leading market in Vietnam's pepper exports in the first two months of the year, with volume and value increasing sharply compared to the same period, respectively 51.48% and 46.15%, and accounting for 25.09% in volume and 28.4% in value.
On the opposite side, Vietnam is also promoting pepper exports both in quantity and value to some markets such as: Thailand, Egypt, South Africa, Poland, Singapore... Vietnam's pepper industry is forecast to have many opportunities to maintain growth momentum in 2026 thanks to the advantage of supply and world demand recovery.
