World pepper prices: Developments in the same direction
In the world market, pepper prices are generally stable in most regions. Currently, these two items are listed at 7,470 USD/ton (equivalent to 194,967 VND/kg); white pepper is listed at 10,185 USD/ton (about 265,829 VND/kg).
In Vietnam, the export price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l remains unchanged at 6,700 - 6,800 USD/ton (equivalent to 174,870 - 177,480 VND/kg). ASTA white pepper prices also remain unchanged, at 9,700 USD/ton (about 253,170 VND/kg).

Assessment and forecast
Domestic pepper prices remain high after a series of price drops, showing positive signs for garden owners and traders, in the context of the pressure from input costs and purchasing demand still existing.
However, the overall picture of the international market is facing many disadvantages. The fact that US businesses are boosting imports of goods from China ahead of the new tax in August has caused shipping rates to spike. This directly increases the logistics cost of agricultural products, including pepper.
